Q.Do you use your own fitters or subcontractors?
Our own. Every Watertight bathroom is designed, supplied and installed in-house by our own team — seven bathroom fitters among a team with over 150 years of combined experience. There are no subcontractors, so the quality is controlled by us and the person who quotes your job is the person who sees it through.
Q.What's included in the price?
Everything. We work to one all-inclusive fixed price agreed before we start — and it includes the electrician, plasterer and decorating as well as the fitting. As one reviewer put it, 'the price quoted included everything from start to finish'. There are no mid-project surprises.
Q.How long does a bathroom take, and what's it like having you in the house?
Most projects run ten days or more. Our fitters arrive at 8am, and a WhatsApp group keeps you updated every day so you always know what's happening. All waste is removed before they leave each evening — reviewers describe floors cleaned each night and disruption 'really kept to a minimum'.
Q.Do you design the bathroom before we commit?
Yes. We produce a 3D CAD design and present it before any work begins — at the showroom or in your home. It follows a design appointment (around two hours with the European brand displays) and an in-home technical survey, so the design is built around your real space and how you want it to work.
Q.Do you fit accessible and mobility bathrooms?
Yes. We are a council-approved mobility bathroom supplier for York, Kirklees and Wakefield councils, installing walk-in showers, grab bars, non-slip flooring and easy-access layouts. We carry out both council-funded work and private mobility bathrooms.
Q.Which brands do you carry?
European and premium names including Porcelanosa, Hansgrohe, Ca' Pietra, Pelipal, Novellini, Dansani, Aqualla, JTP, Ambiance Bain and Adamsez — displayed across our Harrogate and Horsforth showrooms so you can see finishes and fixtures in person.
Q.What guarantee do I get?
Private installations carry a two-year guarantee on our labour; council-funded work carries a twelve-month guarantee. Our aftercare doesn't end at handover — we stand behind the work long after the fitters have packed up.
Q.Where are your showrooms and how do I visit?
Our Harrogate showroom is at Unit 4-5 Coppice Gate, HG1 2DR; our second showroom is in Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4QB. Design appointments are booked in advance so you get around two hours with a designer and the ranges. Call 01423 652772 or email info@watertightbathrooms.com to arrange a time.
